Pantone Colour of the Year 2017: Greenery

Pantone Colour of the Year 2017 Greenery

Us designers always look forward to this time of year, and Pantone (the colour Gods!) have chosen Greenery (a fresh yellow-green) as their Pantone colour of the year 2017. Each year they choose a colour which represents the global mood or attitude and you tend to see it pop up in all kinds of design, but especially home and interiors. So, why Greenery?

Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalise, Greenery symbolises the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose – Leatrice Eiseman

At first I was not totally convinced by ‘Greenery’ however it’s definitely grown on me! I love how fresh and zesty it is and it makes me look forward to Spring! I don’t see a lot of this shade of green in wedding stationery, so I’d love to chat to anyone who will be using this colour in their wedding. There are a lot of ways you can use this colour, whether it’s the main event or just as a little pop of vibrant springy green. I love it paired with dark and moody tones like plum, claret, petrol blue and forest green.
